Writers Group?

Welcome to VTWriters.org, a site maintained by the Burlington Writers Group. This is a not-for-profit site for Vermont writers of all skills, and focuses on the group activities described on the Info page.

We meet regularly for critique and conversation on a broad scope of writing topics. We encourage Vermont writers to attend a meeting, but all writers are welcome to join, and the writers forum is an open community for online discussion and critique.

Writers For Writers
The Vermont Writers site is dedicated to helping writers of all skill levels meet each other, share resources and experiences, and work together to become better writers. Through the site, local writers and groups can organize and communicate. Each group has a moderator who will help drive meetings, typically on a weekly schedule, and writers are free to participate as they wish. There are no fees, and no commitments - every group is an open forum.

The Burlington Writers Group maintains this website, and is the primary writing group for Vermont. Other groups are welcome to join, though - if you're an organizer of a regular writers group in Vermont and would be interested in using the tools and networking on this site, please see below for contact info.

Writers Network
The US Writers network connects all state sites, and allows further benefit from the writing community through an open forum and compilation of resources, helpful information, and more experience to learn from than any one group can provide. This is done through the site tools, which are shared between groups.

The Writers Wiki is a compilation of unique and helpful writing resources and information collected by all the US Writers groups. This is a great place to list helpful links, articles, and quotes on writing style, mechanics, industry, and culture.

Writer Community: US Writers Forum

The US Writers Forum is a community forum where any writer can enjoy open discussion on writing topics, and can post works for ongoing online critique. Each writer group also has a private forum, by invitation from the group organizer, that only group members can see; the private forums allow for more personal, and protected, discussion and sharing of works.
